Refill ink instructions for Canon CL-31 cartridge

How to fill Canon cl-31 cartridge colour

Drilling to refill ink cartridge:

Make a hole in each arrow (as shown in photo). One for each color. (Cyan, Magenta and Yellow)

Preparation:

Fill the syringe with 5 cc of ink. Repeat for each color

To remove air from the syringe do the following:
Place the syringe upwards
and gently squeeze until the ink comes out
of the needle.

How to reink canon CL-31 ink cartridge:

For the drilled hole - as shown in first photo, - put the needle to the bottom
and inject the ink slowly, gradually removing the needle out.
This is to better spread the ink in the sponge interior.


When ink appears at the hole, the cartridge is complete.

PS: Do the same for each color

Dry and cover the hole with adhesive tape.

Rest:

It is best to rest the cartridge 10 minutes with head down.
Do not rest on an absorbent paper.
This is done in order to distribute the ink evenly over the sponge(Allows ink to flow to the print head).

The cartridge is ready for use.

Note: Each time the cartridge is removed from the printer an empty cartridge message appears.
To fix it do a cartridge reset
