Refill ink instructions for Canon CL-811 colour cartridge
Drilling to refill ink cartridge:
Make a hole in each arrow (as shown in photo). One for each color. (Cyan, Magenta and Yellow)
Preparation:
Fill the syringe with 5 or 6 cc of ink. Repeat for each color
To remove air from the syringe do the following:
Place the syringe upwards
and gently squeeze until the ink comes out
of the needle.
How to recharge ink Canon CL811 ink cartridge:
For the drilled hole (as shown in first photo) put the needle to the bottom
and inject the ink slowly, gradually removing the needle out.
This is to better spread the ink in the sponge interior.
When ink appears at the hole, the cartridge is complete.
PS: Do the same for each color , Cyan , Magenta and Yelow
Dry and cover the hole with adhesive tape.
Rest:
It is best to rest the cartridge about ten minutes with head down.Do not rest on an absorbent paper.
This is done in order to distribute the ink evenly over the sponge (Allows ink to flow to the print head).
The ink cartridge is ready for use.
Cartridge Ink yield 210 pages approx.

I have done that many time successfully with HP but for cannon Printer does keep giving error and does not print at all while the cartridge(811, 810) is completely filled and nozzle is OK
Please Help new cartridge is cost too much
I experienced the same problem of refilling PG-810 cartridges. I refilled canon 830 @ 831 cartridges lots of time successfully but I had huge suffering with 810 & 811. They are really bad. So give them a miss.
